The Rector of the University of Algiers receives a delegation from North-
Caucasus Federal University in Russia
The Rector of the University of Algiers 1, Professor Fares Mokhtari, has received,
on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the university’s rectorate, a delegation from North-
Caucasus Federal University in Russia, headed by the Rector of University,
Professor Dmitry Bespalov, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Dr.
Albert Kumukov, and the Dean of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Engineering, Dr.
Alexander Versokin, in the presence of the Vice-Rector in charge of External
Relations, Professor Dandouga Soria, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr.
Mahdjoub Mohamed Malik.
After welcoming the Russian delegation, the Rector of the university and his
Russian counterpart have discussed ways of cooperation between the two
universities, especially in specializations such as mathematics, computer science,
and biotechnology. He has also stressed the need to exchange experience
through exchange programme for professors and students in order to improve
their level.
The Russian delegation has also visited the university library and the anatomy
laboratory of the University of Algiers 1, where they have listened to explanations
about the history and importance of the laboratory.
