Installation of the joint committee between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific
Research and the Ministry of Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Algiers

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Honorary Hall of the Faculty of Medicine of the
University of Algiers 1 Benyoucef Benkhedda, the joint committee between the Ministry of Higher
Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health was installed in order to implement
and follow up on the pedagogical support of the National Institutes of Higher Training in
Paramedical and Midwifery, namely the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Algiers 1
Benyoucef Benkhedda, the National Institute of Higher Training in Paramedical of Algiers, and the
National Institute of Higher Training in Paramedical of Médéa, in accordance with the joint
ministerial decision of 11 Ramadan 1444, corresponding to April 2, 2023,
In the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific
Research, Mr. Benabderrahmane Elias, Director of Higher Education; and Mr. Allouche Mohand,
Subdirector of Pedagogical Supervision; a representative of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Yahia
Cherif Mourad, Subdirector of Basic Training; Pr. Fares Mokhtari, Rector of the University of
Algiers1 Benyoucef Benkhedda; Pr. Gernaout Merzak, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Mr. Behaz
Adel, Director of the National Institute of Higher Training in Paramedical of Algiers; Mr. Bournane
Mohamed Zine, Director of the National Institute of Higher Training in Paramedical of Médéa; Mr.
Malkaoui Mouloud, Secretary General of the Faculty; Pr. Bouali Fayçel, Vice-Dean in charge of
studies and student related matters at the Faculty of Medicine; Pr. Iderouaine Hassiba, Assistant
to the Head of the Dental Medicine Department; and Pr. Karboua Asma.
In accordance with the joint ministerial decision of 11 Ramadan 1444, corresponding to
April 2, 2023, the joint committee consists of the following members:
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chairman.
Vice-Dean in charge of studies and student-related matters at the Faculty of Medicine.
University-Hospital Professor at the Faculty.
Directors of the National Institutes of Higher Training in Paramedical and Midwifery.
Two pedagogical supervisors from two National Institutes of Higher Training in Paramedical and
Midwifery.
Two professors from two National Institutes of Higher Training in Paramedical and Midwifery.
