{"id":5642,"date":"2024-03-24T10:02:49","date_gmt":"2024-03-24T09:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.univ-alger.dz\/?p=5642"},"modified":"2024-03-24T10:02:51","modified_gmt":"2024-03-24T09:02:51","slug":"5642","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.univ-alger.dz\/?p=5642&lang=en","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The University of Algiers 1 celebrates the 62nd anniversary of Victory Day<\/strong><br>Under supervision of the Rector of the University of Algiers 1, Professor<br>Fares Mokhtari, the University has celebrated today the 62nd<br>anniversary of the Victory Day, March 19, in the presence of a number of<br>Mujahideen, the Deans of the Faculties, the Vice-Rectors, the Vice-<br>President of the People\u2019s Assembly of the Municipality of Algiers Centre,<br>as well as representatives of the Supreme Court, the National<br>Gendarmerie, the Civil Defence, and other official parties.<br>In his opening speech, the Rector of the University gave a historical<br>overview of this event, which made the Algerian Revolution a global<br>reference of resistance and rejection of colonialism, and urged to<br>preserve this historical legacy by redoubling efforts in the field of<br>scientific research in order to create wealth.<br>The writer and Mujahid Aissa Kssaissia has participated with a valuable<br>intervention, in which he shed light on a series of important events that<br>led, after a century and thirty years, to a ceasefire and the liberation of<br>the nation from colonialism.<br>The activities has also included a video containing live testimonies from<br>a number of Mujahideen about Victory Day, in addition to a recitation of<br>verses from the Holy Quran, by the students Mahaouchi Charifa and<br>Belakhal Naila, first and second place winners in the \u201cQuran to be recited<br>to a generation that ponders\u201d competition. The two students were also<br>honoured by the Rector of the University and the Dean of the Faculty of<br>Islamic Sciences.<br>On the sidelines of this celebration, a sporting activity was organized,<br>with the participation of students in different sports. In addition, the \u201cBio<br>Care Bio Tech\u201d Association has organized an awareness campaign<br>about the importance of reducing sugar intake and adopting a healthy<br>lifestyle.<br>This celebration is an opportunity to renew the pledge of loyalty and<br>belonging to the nation, and celebrate our national history and our<br>struggle for freedom and independence.
