{"id":5480,"date":"2024-03-10T09:39:36","date_gmt":"2024-03-10T08:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.univ-alger.dz\/?p=5480"},"modified":"2024-03-10T09:39:38","modified_gmt":"2024-03-10T08:39:38","slug":"5480","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.univ-alger.dz\/?p=5480&lang=en","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Rector of the University of Algiers 1 inaugurates the molecular genetics research<\/strong><br>laboratory at Mustafa Pasha University Hospital<br>On Sunday, March 3, 2024, the Rector of the University of Algiers 1, Professor Fares<br>Mokhtari, has inaugurated the molecular genetics research laboratory in the Department of<br>Cardiology at Mustafa Pasha University Hospital, in the presence the Vice-Rectors, the Deans<br>of the Faculties and their deputies, as well as the Director General of the hospital, the<br>President of the Scientific Council and the Heads of Departments at the hospital.<br>In his opening speech, Professor Fares Mokhtari, has praised the efforts made by the<br>university in promoting scientific research, particularly in the field of medicine, pointing out<br>the importance of this new laboratory, which will contribute significantly to improve medical<br>services, by accurately diagnosing heart diseases and preventing sudden cardiac death. He has<br>also added that the laboratory will facilitate the access to health care within the country,<br>which will reduce treatment costs for citizens.<br>This laboratory is considered the first of its kind at the national level. It aims at preventing<br>sudden death caused by cardiac arrhythmia thanks to early diagnosis and targeted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>interventions by identifying genetic mutations, family screening, and personal prevention<br>strategies.
